We are a family owned and operated business. Steve and Lynn own and both work in the business. Our son, Mackenzie, is the foreman of the sheet metal department and our daughter Emily will assist you at reception.

Our Story
Houde Mechanical has been servicing Cornwall and SD&G for over 65 years. We purchased the company in 2004 and have been operating this family business since.
Steve and Mackenzie are both red seal sheet metal Journeymen and continue to actively work one-on-one with our customers to ensure you get the best services possible.
We are a family run company and like to treat our employees and clients as family, with great old fashioned service. We are committed to growing and to continue to offer the citizens of Cornwall with the best possible service and access to quality work and equipment.
We have several apprentices, gas technicians and refrigeration technicians employed to offer great service. We have won several HEIL dealer of the year awards, Continental fireplaces awards, Navien bronze status.
Where We’re Heading
We have recently moved to offer our employees and clients with a better show room and sheet metal fabrication shop. We are continuously growing and looking to improve our business in order to offer our customers the best service. We have a newly expanded showroom with gas and propane fireplaces and now offer electric fireplaces as well.
We are looking to increase our staff in the sheet metal department and gas department in the near future.

Here Are The Answers To Some Of Our Most Frequent Questions
Do you do conversions from oil heating to gas?
Yes, we are fully certified in gas and propane. We perform these types of changeovers almost daily.
Are your estimates free?
Yes, all of our estimates are fee. In order to properly provide the most accurate estimate, we will visit your home to view the work and to answer any questions/concerns that you may have. Then we will provide you with a detailed quote and price. There are no hidden costs or surprises upon installation.
Do you offer financing?
Yes, we work with Finance It, which is a finance company that provides financing for home renovations. We are able to offer you a variety of options to meet your needs. All financing is approved OAC.
Are you able to provide service in French?
Yes, Steve is fluently bilingual and is able to answer any of your questions in French. As well, some of our technicians are able to communicate in French.
Do you sell service/maintenance plans?
No, we use a different system. We call our customers on a yearly basis to perform yearly maintenance and if they choose to have the equipment serviced then at that time we provide this service. It is highly recommended, however, that your mechanical equipment be serviced yearly!
Do we offer government incentive rebates?
Yes, we are HRAI certified and can offer you the OPA (Ontario Power Authority) rebates, as well as the government Eco-Energy rebates.
What is your warranty?

Do you have a showroom?
Yes, we have a showroom located at 2905 Marleau Avenue. Stop in to visit or call us to schedule a viewing.
Do you do new homes and commercial jobs?
Yes, we specialize in the mechanical needs of your new home and are able to meet your needs for commercial jobs.
